Singapore: a new riverside base at Robertson Quay

A Singapore stay can revolve around a neighbourhood as much as a landmark. DoubleTree by Hilton Singapore Robertson Quay opened on 30 September, adding a riverside option on Havelock Road. It is worth considering if your ideal city break leaves room for unhurried walks between bigger outings.
Hilton puts Havelock MRT about five minutes away on foot. The hotel has an outdoor pool and rooms with either river or neighbourhood views. Before choosing a rate, check the exact room category, breakfast inclusion and cancellation terms; a photograph of the river does not mean every room overlooks it.
Plan one neighbourhood at a time. You might devote an outing to Chinatown or Tiong Bahru, then leave the evening open instead of packing in another cross-city journey. Choosing a base is partly about the time you want to spend outside it.
One opening detail matters for October stays: Hilton says SAUS lunch and dinner service starts on 1 November. Confirm dining arrangements for your dates. This introduction is based on the hotel announcement, not a personal stay review.
