Silversea has unveiled 103 sailings for September 2028 to May 2029, with a programme organised around cultural moments as well as ports. Announced on 6 October, with general sales opening on 8 October, the collection covers 219 destinations in 56 countries and adds 29 new ports of call.

Food becomes part of the route

New S.A.L.T. Culinary Voyages include wine and truffle itineraries in Spain and Italy, alongside Asian market journeys between Singapore and Hong Kong. Elsewhere, the programme connects selected sailings with Carnival, New Year celebrations and seasonal highlights. The news is a future voyage release, not a last-minute departure offer.

South America on a larger canvas

The collection includes Grand South America 2029 aboard Silver Nova, a circumnavigation with Antarctic Peninsula scenic cruising. Scenic cruising should not be confused with a promise of an expedition landing. Travellers drawn to a long journey can use the announcement to compare regions and the pace of different itineraries.

Choose the voyage by its days ashore

Our recommendation is to look beyond the number of ports. Compare time ashore, overnight calls, sea days and the experiences that need separate arrangements. If a festival or culinary event is the main attraction, check the exact departure and programme rather than assuming every sailing includes it. A carefully chosen itinerary can make a long-planned trip feel coherent from its first morning to its final port.
