A Caribbean winter with a new island on the horizon

The pleasure of an island escape is often in its changing scenery. Explora Journeys has outlined a Caribbean programme for EXPLORA I and EXPLORA III running from late October 2026 through March 2027. Its September announcement brings Saint Lucia, Saint Barthélemy and the British Virgin Islands into the seasonal picture.
Two ships, different starting points
EXPLORA I is scheduled to begin its Caribbean sailings from Miami on 17 November, after a transatlantic crossing from Barcelona. EXPLORA III’s first Caribbean season includes journeys between Miami and San Juan. These are announced plans, rather than confirmation of an individual sailing’s availability.
Choose the islands that matter to you
The programme highlights experiences such as exploring the granite formations of The Baths on Virgin Gorda and chocolate-making in Saint Lucia. Activities vary by itinerary. For a rewarding choice, compare the actual ports and time ashore, then consider how much sailing time you want between them. A shorter list of favourite islands can be more useful than choosing solely by ship.
Make room around the voyage
Before arranging flights, confirm the departure port, final itinerary, included services and separate excursion costs. An overnight stay before embarkation can also give the journey a gentler beginning. The appeal is the combination: several island settings, with one place to return to at the end of each day.
