Copacabana Palace is preparing to add a new dimension to a Rio de Janeiro stay. In an announcement dated 6 October, Belmond set out plans for a five-storey Wellness Club as part of the hotel’s Pool Wing reopening on 3 November 2026, including what the company describes as Latin America’s first Dior Spa.

More than a treatment room

The announced facilities bring together fitness, movement studios and a dedicated recovery floor. The Dior Spa is planned with six treatment rooms, while the wider club includes a juice and nutrition bar. These are details of the forthcoming opening, with access and reservations to be confirmed for an individual stay.

A fresh reason to revisit an established address

The interest lies in the combination of the hotel’s established social identity and a new space for quieter hours. For readers considering Rio for a future celebration or a longer coastal break, the announcement adds a fresh hotel development to the destination’s familiar attractions.

Let the city and the hotel share the itinerary

Our approach would be to leave a clear gap between an active day and an evening reservation, rather than making the hotel a place used only for sleep. If the spa is central to the trip, confirm that its opening and treatment availability align with your dates. Choose experiences for enjoyment and relaxation; promotional wellness descriptions should not be read as promises of a medical result.
